VENICE – Women’s Hoops Network (WHN) is thrilled to announce the sponsorship of a new team set to compete in the prestigious Venice Basketball League (VBL) this summer. The season kicks off on June 15, with games running through August 18, held at the iconic Veniceball Basketball Courts at 1700 Ocean Front Walk, Venice Beach, CA 90291.

WHN is actively seeking talented college or semi-pro level players to join this exciting team. This sponsorship aligns with WHN’s mission to elevate women’s basketball and provide more opportunities for female athletes to showcase their skills on a larger stage.

Veniceball, which began in 2006 as a community tournament, has evolved into a world-renowned pro-am league. The league is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere and competitive play, drawing attention from major publications like Sports Illustrated and SLAM. Veniceball is more than just a league; it’s a community dedicated to giving back. Its philanthropic initiatives include KVBL (Kids Venice Basketball League), HOOPBUS, and Build Courts Not Walls, all of which aim to serve and uplift underprivileged communities.

“We are excited to be a part of the Venice Basketball League this year,” said the Women’s Hoops Network. “This sponsorship is a fantastic opportunity for talented female players to shine and for us to support the growth of women’s basketball in a dynamic and influential setting.”

Players interested in joining the team can find more information and apply through the WHN website. Tryouts and team selection will take place in the coming weeks.

Don’t miss out on the chance to see some of the best female basketball talent compete in the VBL this summer. Come support the WHN team and be part of the action at Venice Beach!
