UNCASVILLE, CT – The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced Wednesday that the 11th annual Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase will be held on December 17 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is an organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating basketball at every level. The iconic Hall of Fame museum is home to more than 400 inductees and over 40,000 square feet of basketball history, according to their website

“We are pleased to welcome these teams and their fans to the Invesco QQQ Women’s Showcase this December,” John Doleva, President and CEO of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, said in a statement. “This showcase promises to be one of the most exciting events of the year, showcasing the talent and dedication of the student-athletes and recognizing the historic growth of women’s college basketball.”

The doubleheader will see The University of Connecticut play Iowa State and Seton Hall will take on Louisiana State University. 

Three of the participating teams, UConn, Iowa State and LSU, made the 2024 NCAA March Madness Women’s Tournament. UConn made it to the Final Four where they took on the Iowa Hawkeyes in a game they lost 71-69. LSU fell to the Hawkeyes in the Elite Eight with a 94-87 loss. Iowa State made it to the second round before being knocked off by Stanford in an 87-81 game.

Though Seton Hall did not make the NCAA Tournament, they were invited to the Women’s Basketball Invitational Tournament (WBIT) where they faced Saint Joseph’s University in the first round. The Pirates lost 54-47.

​​Tickets for the 2024 Invesco QQQ Women’s Showcase will go on sale Friday, September 6, via Ticketmaster and will be on sale at the Mohegan Sun Arena Box Office beginning Saturday, September 7.
