ANTWERP – In a nail biter game, Team USA eked out a victory over Belgium in Antwerp in the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying tournament.

The starting 5 for Team USA was:

  • Diana Turasi
  • Jewell Lloyd 
  • Kahleah Copper
  • Breanna Stewart
  • Alyssa Thomas

 In a tight game, Team USA pulled out a victory with a buzzer beater for an 81-79 win. At one point, Team USA was down 13 points. Breanna Stewart helped secure a victory with a layup in the last 3 seconds. Napheesa Collier led with a fantastic 23 points off the bench and 7 rebounds. Team USA will play Nigeria today at 9am PT. 

Team USA will also play Senegal on Sunday at 10:15am PT.
