Notre Dame freshman Hannah Hidalgo has been a menace on defense all season long for the Irish. Hildalgo’s seven thefts for the Irish brought her total to 113, breaking Marion Jones’ freshman record of 111 set with North Carolina in 1993-94.
Hidalgo is 9 steals away from breaking Skylar Diggins Smith’s all-time Notre Dame steal record, and she is also the fastest Division I player to earn 100 steals in the last 25 years.
The Freshman guard is averaging 24.8 points which is third in scoring and 5.05 steals per game which is first in the nation.
Notre Dame will play Florida State this Sunday at 9am PT.
